TECHNOLOGYThe 78 MW Hiep Thanh wind power plant will be using wind turbines manufactured by Siemens Gamesa, code SG 5.0-145 IIB to generate electricity. Siemens Gamesa is a leading supplier of wind power solutions to customers globally. A key player and innovative pioneer in the renewable energy sector, with over 107 GW installed in 75 countries.The conversion of wind energy into electricity for use is done with the following process: The wind turbine converts the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy that rotates the rotor (blade + shaft) and through the transmission will rotate the generator and generate electricity. Devices such as brake, controller, generator, motion shaft….
